The society’s work in supporting local blind and visually impaired local people is only possible by the excellent work our volunteers provide.
We currently need: A person to organise events and activities for our members who should possess good people and organisational skills and an understanding of disabilities. Basic computer and good telephone skills would be an advantage. Working from the society’s new office although working from home can be discussed. A full and clean driving licence is necessary, a mileage allowance is payable.
- People to provide sighted guide for events and activities – full training will be provided and travel expenses paid.
- Full training and support will be provided for all of the above.
- All the above positions are subject to an Enhanced DBS.
